"This was, without question, the worst experience I have ever had with an insurance agency.

On June 5, I requested that my auto policy be canceled after obtaining insurance in another state. I was repeatedly told by an employee, Jocelyn, that my policy could not be canceled until I provided documentation from my new insurance company. As a result, my policy remained active for more than 30 days, and I continued to be billed despite my original cancellation request.

After speaking with other State Farm agents, I was informed that they were unaware of any Florida requirement that would prevent my policy from being canceled under the circumstances I described. Yet after two phone conversations with Jocelyn, she continued to refuse cancelation of my policy.

Eventually, another employee in the same office confirmed that my policy had in fact been canceled and that the additional documentation was not required.

What is most disappointing is that I reached out to agency owner Brice Brown twice by email, asking him to review what had occurred. I received no response.

Because of my experience, I have filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau, the Florida Department of Financial Services, and the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation. I have also escalated the matter to State Farm corporate for review.

I encourage anyone considering this agency to do their own research, read the reviews carefully from the bottom because they sort them so that you won't see their true practices that so many othets have endured like mine.

My experience involved significant frustration, unnecessary delays, and many hours spent resolving what should have been a simple policy cancellation. There are too many decent agencies in the area. I know because I called them asking for help on this situation and one after another apologized for Brice Brown's practices and assured me they were not of legal action."
